Bollywood’s Former Couples Give A Lesson On How To Remain Friends With Your Ex
After most relationships end in Bollywood, time to say goodbye comes sooner or later unless you intend to walk down the aisle which also doesn’t guarantee anything anymore. But the ex ‘hot’ couples of Tinsel Ville have been changing this trend for good. Here’s a list of former flames who let bygones be bygones.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone
Ranbir and Deepika have gone to great lengths in maintaining their ‘friendship’ even after their much publicized break up where Ranbir Kapoor was infamously declared the heartbreaker and Deepika mulled over it for weeks even for months. Both have had their share of link ups post break up. Things looked up for this ex-couple when they worked in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. During the shooting of this movie, things started warming up between the two rather well. Their real life bond and fondness for each other creates magic on the screen. Who would have thought the couple would together perform with such ease and poise? The second movie they did opposite each other was Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha, where again they were applauded for their chemistry.
Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma
They have become a classic example of how to maintain a certain level of friendship and professionalism even after your relationship has hit the rocks. The two have moved on miles ahead in their respective lives, both professionally and personally. Their pairing in Zoya’s Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do was seamless and that chemistry created an unexplained magic which their audiences’ loved to watch. Let’s hope just for our sake that they continue to rock on the screen even if not off it.
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif
They once made for one of Bollywood’s most loving couples and their break up created a stir amongst the media and their fans, who were literally as heartbroken, as the both of them must have been. Ranbir fell for Katrina while filming for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani. The split apparently happened because of Ranbir’s hesitance for a long-term commitment. The former lovers reunited for Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos.
Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan
Relationships in the glamor industry are very fragile. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor’s romance is a proof of that. The love birds, who made news in 2004 with their love affair, soon broke up after working together in films like 36 China Town, Chupke Chupke, and Jab We Met. Kareena Kapoor fell for Saif Ali Khan, during the shoot of their forgettable movie Tashan. Years after their break and having moved on in their respective lives, both seemed to have buried the hatchet. It was, in fact, Shahid who had suggested Bebo’s name for the blockbuster film of 2016, Udta Punjab. He has reportedly stated that he “respects Kareena as an actress.”
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif
Their romance was pretty much out in the open. Salman, being madly in love with Katrina offered her professional support by casting her in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kia, and their love affair became the talk of the town. But, then came the rough patch. Salman’s dominating and possessive nature became the reason for the frequent fights between the two. Both of them went their separate ways and reports of Katrina being in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor started doing the rounds. But Salman and Katrina remained friends even after the split and came together for the film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in 2012.
