Jab Father Met Son: 5 Real-Reel Father-son Duo Combos Who Proved That Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri
The craze of Bollywood among Indians is undisputed. We follow the style quotient of our favorite celebs and consume all kinds of entertainment news. And what excites us most is the news regarding the personal lives of stars. What they wear, where are they heading for vacation and most importantly, whom are they dating, are the questions that bother us more than our unpaid bills. This is the reason why our excitement level pumps up when we see a real-life couple, siblings or parents onscreen. Here’s a list of five reel-to-real life father-son duo who have entertained us with their perfect chemistry.
They have acted in many films, notably in Paa, Sarkar, Sarkar Raj and Bunty Aur Babli. In all of them, the duo delivered a power packed performance. But it was in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna where we got a gist of their actual chemistry. The envious relationship of their characters Sam and Rishi Talwar were more like friends than a father-son one.
The sports drama Apne directed by Anil Sharma saw the Deol family for the first time onscreen. The film had the right mixture of family emotions that was well received by everyone. The trio later appeared in Yamla Pagla Deewana, which was a moderate success while its sequel was a disaster.
They first appeared in Rocky and Kshatriya, but both the movies were forgettable outings. It was Munna Bhai MBBS that left a lasting impact on us. The short but sparkling scenes filled our hearts with emotions and our eyes with tears.
The late Vinod Khanna made Himalayputra to launch his younger son Akshaye. Though the film did average business, the Bollywood praised the new amazing father-son duo on screen and their performance as ACP Suraj Khanna and Abhay Khanna.
Isn’t it lucky to share screen space with your father in your debut film? Apart from Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sooraj Pancholi also had the fortune to work with his father Aditya in Hero. Aditya played the gangster father of Sooraj and believe us, the scenes between them were the only bearable ones in the entire film.
